Supporting Student Success in the First-Year Experience: Library Instruction in the Learning Management System This article discusses how the Library and Office of Institutional Research at a public college measured the relationship of an online information literacy module in the learning management system with student success metrics in a first-year experience course. Specifically, the authors examine the relationships of an online instruction module, online module completion status, library use sessions, and student success metrics, such as semester grade point average (GPA), one-year retention, and academic standing. The results suggest that students who participated in the online information literacy module had better student outcomes than those that did not participate in the module. Building Capacity to Support Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Modular Approach to Intervention          There is a large gap between research-based interventions for supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and current practices implemented by educators to meet the needs of these children in typical school settings. Myriad reasons for this gap exist including the external validity of existing research, the complexity of ASD, and constraints on service delivery systems. Thus, a systematic approach is needed to adapt research-based interventions for use in typical school settings. One way to address these challenges is a modular intervention framework. In this article, we describe how a modular intervention framework could be implemented in schools. Supporting Families to Support Students Collaboration between students' families and the school is an essential component to promoting student mental and behavioral health. Many schools structure their mental health services using a Multi-Tiered System of Supports that offers three different tiers of support from universal supports to personalized help for students with serious problems. A Pilot Study for Improving Classroom Systems within Schoolwide Positive Behavior Suppor Despite the overall success of Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support, there is evidence teachers do not effectively utilize Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support features in the classroom. Classrooms are important systems within a Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support framework as this is the location within the school that students spend the majority of their time. This is especially important for students with emotional and behavioral disorders as teacher proficiency with classroom management affects the progression and malleability of the disorder.
